The duty of the Oliver White Hill Foundation and its Board to serve as good stewards of Mr. Hill’s legacy. With authority granted by the Hill family and estate to the Foundation, those individuals, organizations, businesses, and educational institutions and authorities seeking to associate Mr. Hill’s name with their various businesses, events, programs, and facilities, must seek approval of the Foundation’s Board.

Currently, Mr. Hill’s name is associated with the Oliver Hill Courts Building (Richmond), Oliver Hill Way (Richmond), Oliver Hill Building (Richmond) as well as various scholastic programs, events, bar associations, museum exhibits, and artwork throughout the Commonwealth.

Those wanting to name a facility, collection, fellowship, endowment, interior space, room, exterior space, road, event, object, and/or program in honor of Mr. Hill must submit a request to the Oliver White Hill Foundation Board.  The Board may make further inquiry regarding the goal and purpose associated with the request.  The Board will formally review the request and provide a response as to whether the naming opportunity appropriately reflects Mr. Hill’s legacy and whether the request is approved.
