OLIVER WHITE HILL Social Justice Short Film Competition Call for Entries

Entries are now being accepted for an exciting new Virginia short film competition.  The Oliver White Hill Social Justice Short Film Competition is open to elementary school students, college students, and professional filmmakers and is designed to highlight the life and legacy of one of Virginia’s most beloved native sons, Civil Rights Attorney and Presidential Medal of Freedom winner, Oliver White Hill, Sr.

Entries will be judged on originality, educational content, cinematic style, and entertainment value regarding the life and legacy of Oliver White Hill, Sr., and issues of equality, social and/or economic justice, and conflict resolution in present times and forward. This competition is The Oliver White Hill Foundation program co-sponsored by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

Entries will be accepted through Friday, February 15, 2019.    Winners will receive a cash prize and their work will be shown to the public at an event held on Friday, February 22, 2019.
